Reus is in the Costa Daurada region of Catalonia, set in the rolling hinterlands not far from the coast. It is within easy reach of almost every important city or village in the region and has a calm city center full of shops, restaurant. With interesting historical architecture and plenty to see and do, it is the perfect place to spend a few days.

Remarkably, the city's two museums have the same name but are located in different places and show different exhibitions. The Regional Salvador Vilaseca Museum on Raval St. Anna has a permanent display of archaeological finds, considered to be among the most important in Catalonia; and the Regional Salvador Vilaseca Museum at Llibertat Square presents artistic collections and modern art expositions.

Reus is the birthplace of renowned Spanish artist Gaudi. The Gaudí's Reus Trail is a special tour enabling you to find out more about the great architect and his links to his home town.

The town is packed full of many other architectural splendours, particularly striking is the work of Pere Caselles, a municipal architect who designed the Institut Pere Mata and the Casa Grau and the Casa Laguna.

The Priory Church of St. Pere is the most noteworthy building surviving from the old Reus. It was built in 1512 on the site of the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria and attracts many visitors to the city.
